All dealership body shops and the national chains — Caliber, Classic Collision, Gerber — report to Carfax. Every repair they do goes against your VIN. Permanently.
At trade-in or resale, that entry costs you 5% to 20% of the vehicle's value. Anything labeled structural: 20% or more. On a $40,000 vehicle that is $2,000 to $8,000 gone. Often more than the repair.
Unique Collision does not report repairs to Carfax.
What we fix here is your business. It stays that way.
ONE THING WE CANNOT CONTROL
If you file an insurance claim, your insurance company reports the accident to Carfax, no matter which shop repairs the car.
Want it off the record entirely? Ask us for a cash estimate. On smaller repairs it is often less than your deductible.
